Internships
Building interior for mission rehearsal

TerraSim, Inc. is looking for software engineering interns to help us add functionality to our TerraTools® and TerraTours® geospatial visualization products.

As a Carnegie Mellon spin-off located in downtown Pittsburgh, we can offer you an interesting software development experience while working on cutting edge problems in computer graphics, computer vision, software systems, and visual design.

Job 09-Summer Internships

We are currently accepting applications for 2009 summer internships.
The application deadline is March 15, 2009.

Our work environment is open and project-oriented and you will work directly with both junior and senior members of the company. Your internship will be relevant to current and/or next generation TerraSim products or customer support enhancements; previous interns have contributed directly to our released products.

As a result, you will be exposed to a realistic "small company" environment where each person participates in many aspects of feature planning and design, implementation, testing, and documentation. At the end of the internship, you will have a new perspective on commercial software engineering and you will be able to point to your contribution within a commercial product.

Our technology is used to support geospatial visualization for both civil and defense applications. We have a variety of problems for interns to tackle in the areas of computer graphics, systems development, user interfaces, and urban visualization development.

Software engineering interns are expected to have a strong academic background with coursework in computer graphics, computer vision, or software engineering, and some experience in software project development beyond class work. Successful applicants will generally have junior or senior year standing.
