TerraSim Selected for Ben Franklin Technology Center Challenge Grant

July 08, 1998

Pittsburgh, PA - TerraSim, Inc. has been selected by the Ben Franklin Technology Center of Western Pennsylvania to receive a $90,000 Challenge Grant. Challenge grants are competitively awarded, on a matching-funds basis, to allow small companies to perform applied research and development projects which will lead to the development of new products and processes.

"We are very pleased to have been chosen for this highly competitive award," said Dave McKeown, president of TerraSim. "The proposal and company evaluation process was extensive, and we feel that the Challenge Grant award reflects the importance of our technology in a rapidly emerging and highly visible commercial marketplace."

TerraSim will use this funding to develop novel methods for internet-based delivery of visual simulation databases and also to complement ongoing product development activity for a range of commercial workstations.
