Pittsburgh, PA - TerraSim is showcasing several major new capabilities of its TerraTools product line at this year's I/ITSEC '99 meeting
Our most significant announcement is that TerraTools V1.1® is now available under Windows NT. Our extensive software port is complete and we've retained full functionality of our original advanced SGI workstation geospatial database construction product. In fact, database projects created under our SGI version can be loaded and executed without any user modification under TerraTools V1.1 for Windows NT. Our advanced user interface based on our Geospatial Data Flowgraph™ model has been completely reimplemented to provide a native Windows NT look and feel. Users still have the same ability to inspect intermediate results, view and edit all data sources, and rapidly generate complex geospecific databases.
In addition to our port to Windows NT, TerraTools V1.1 is the second major release of TerraTools and incorporates important new features and capabilities to further increase the productivity of geospatial database and visualization builders. All current customers have been shipped free upgrade copies of V1.1 as a part of the TerraTools standard software maintenance agreement. Instructions for obtaining free evaluation copies are available by request.
Finally, we will be demonstrating a number of newly developed SEDRIS applications that highlight database exchange and interoperability. These demos feature the unique power of TerraTools to allow for rapid incremental database construction and refinement.
