Pittsburgh, PA - TerraSim's success on the recent Phase II SBIR entitled "Computer-Assisted Modeling of Urban Environments" has been recognized with a 2002 Tibbetts Award. TerraSim is the only Pennsylvania-based business to be honored with this award in 2002.
Named for Roland Tibbetts, the acknowledged father of the SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) program, these awards are made annually "to those small firms, projects, organizations and individuals judged to exemplify the very best in SBIR achievement." The SBIR program is administered by the Department of Defense to fund early-stage Research and Development projects at small technology companies.
