Pittsburgh, PA - TerraSim Inc. will participate in the ASPRS and MAPPS Conference on "Terrain Data: Applications and Visualization" held in Charleston, South Carolina, from October 28-30, 2003. TerraSim will present two papers in the technical conference and will also demonstrate the advanced capabilities of TerraTools® 2.0, the latest and most comprehensive version of its TerraTools product, in the Exhibit area in Booth 415.
TerraSim's Bill Starmer will present "Linking Photogrammetric Compilation to 3D Geospatial Visualization" during the 10:00-11:30pm Visualization Technology Technical Session on Wednesday, October 29th. This presentation describes the development of TerraSim's commercial visualization plug-in for BAE Systems' SOCET SET® photogrammetric workstation that allows for the fully automatic visualization of complex urban areas at each stage of compilation.
In the same technical session, TerraSim's Dr. Jefferey Shufelt will present "DEM Fusion to Support Improved Geospatial Visualizations." This presentation will describe TerraSim's new capabilities for DEM fusion that enables users to input DEMs in a variety of formats, perform noise filtering and coordinate and unit conversion, and combine the individual DEMs into one that is more accurate and consistent than its component parts.
In the exhibit area, TerraSim will demonstrate the real-time urban visualization capabilities of TerraTools 2.0. Significant new features include: simplified project creation through the OmniWizard™, full coordinate system support, process flow graph simplification tools through Macro Nodes, improved building modeling tools, increased automation for import feature data, enhanced geometry and terrain data import, native CTDB export, still frame export for movie generation, TSGFly™ viewer enhancements and integration with BAE Systems' SOCET SET photogrammetric workstation.
