TerraSim Presenting on Urban Environment Modeling at IMAGE 2004 Conference

June 30, 2004

Pittsburgh, PA - TerraSim, Inc. will be participating in the annual IMAGE Society Conference held in Scottsdale, Arizona, from July 12-16. TerraSim will be demonstrating the advanced capabilities of TerraTools® 2.0 and TerraTours, an interactive 3D visualization tool, at the IMAGE 2004 technology exhibit.

On Tuesday, July 13, TerraSim's Dave McKeown and Julius Yako will present a tutorial in "Modeling Urban Environments", consisting of an introduction to applications for urban modeling with examples of urban environment generation for commercial and urban planners and database group managers, as well as database developers for MOUT training sites.

This tutorial will provide an overview of the applications of urban databases, GIS and cartographic source data considerations, and will review the construction of terrain skin. Model types and formats, model placement techniques, and automatic model generation will be discussed in detail, with several case study visualizations highlighted to aid in the presentation.

TerraSim will demonstrate the capabilities of both TerraTools 2.0 and the TerraTours viewer in the IMAGE Society Exhibit Hall. These demonstrations will feature new technology for building interiors, underground pipe and tunnel construction, and DEM fusion. Visit us at Booth 10 for a TerraTools demo, and find out about discounted prices available to IMAGE 2004 attendees!
