Pittsburgh, PA - TerraSim, Inc., a corporate member of the IMAGE Society since 2000, will be showcasing its TerraTools® 3D geospatial visualization software product line at the 2006 IMAGE Society meeting in Scottsdale, AZ on July 10-13, 2006.
TerraSim will be demonstrating its recently completed database exporter for OneSAF OTF format, which has been used to build sample databases for Fort Hood, Texas and Mosul, Iraq. OneSAF OTF export provides a fully attributed terrain surface integrated with transportation, drainage, and man-made structures constructed from NGA DTED/VMAP, Army Urban Tactical Planner (UTP), or ESRI format GIS layers. Since TerraTools 3.0 builds a single common database representation supporting multiple environmental data models, OTF export is completely correlated with OpenFlight, CTDB, and SEDRIS 4.0 export.

TerraSim has also enhanced its TerraTools Google Earth exporter to support object model textures, linear vector display, and accurate database geo-positioning. It complements our 3DStudio Max plug-in, and allows TerraTools users to publish their databases in a variety of formats for civil and web-based distribution. Both plug-ins are free to TerraTools users.

TerraSim will also be demonstrating two source data preparation offerings: DEMTools™ for ESRI ArcGIS and RoadMAP ™. DEMTools is an ArcGIS extension that supported DEM fusion, matching, reprojection and hole filling for SRTM and ASTER data sets. RoadMAP is a stand-alone road network extraction system capable of semi-automated extraction with user defined attribution, ready for ingest into TerraTools or a GIS-based source data system.
