Pittsburgh, PA - TerraSim, Inc. announces the availability of an initial release of its Ultra High Resolution Building (UHRB) model library for use with its OneSAF Terrain Format (OTF) export plug-in for TerraTools® 3.0. Organized as a standard TerraTools Model Library (TML), users can easily create individual model reference points (for placement), or use TerraTools urban creation nodes to automatically scatter buildings aligned along roads or in regular grids within built up areas.
The TerraSim UHRB model library is organized as a set of correlated UHRB XML files, building footprints, Tiled Scene Graph (TSG) models, and OpenFlight models with automatically generated level of detail (LOD) and realistic interior textures.
The UHRB model library contains representative examples of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings with single floors, multiple floors with stairs, and multiple floors with basements. A range of simple-to-complex building interiors are supported. Each of the UHRB buildings has been tested with OneSAF OOS Version 1.0 to ensure correctness and the ability to route SAF into and inside these structures.
TerraSim's OneSAF export capability is currently used to support PEO-STRI OneSAF, Future Combat Systems (FCS LSI), and PEO Soldier IWARS. For more information regarding TerraTools support for OneSAF OTF geocell generation and the UHRB model library, contactsales@terrasim.com
