Pittsburgh, PA - TerraSim, Inc. is pleased to offer SAF database reuse and conversion services to support the generation of OneSAF OOS databases from source data derived from OneSAF Testbed (OTB) formatted databases. Both OneSAF Terrain Format (OTF) 5.0 and 6.0 are supported. The conversion process results in fully correlated spatial content between CTDB and OneSAF databases suitable for running OTB and OTF federations or to reuse previous OTB database investments in the OneSAF environment.
The conversion process involves extraction of all CTDB data layers including linear and areal drainage, building areals, road lines, canopies, and treeline points. A digital elevation model is constructed from a combination of CTDB terrain posts and features data elevations. Appropriate coordinate system transformations, including vertical datum corrections, are applied to generate the OOS OTF database.
The CTDB conversion process includes:
- Ingest of CTDB database to recover geospatial source data
- Generation of a full geo-cell of OneSAF OTF
- Generation of a correlated OTB CTDB
- Generation of a multi-cell OTF when source CTDB crosses multiple geo-cell boundaries
Optionally, SAF conversion customers can request:
- Export of CTDB data as attributed shapefiles
- Correction and intensification of CTDB source data
- Conversion of CTDB MES buildings to OTF UHRB buildings
- Use of additional geospatial data to fill out full OneSAF one degree cell
