Pittsburgh, PA - TerraSim, Inc. will be demonstrating its TerraTools® 3D geospatial visualization software product line at the 2008 American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) meeting in Portland, Oregon April 28 - May 2, 2008 at Booth #116.
A sustaining member of ASPRS, TerraSim will be performing product demonstrations of its suite of source data preparation tools, including RoadMAP v1.0, an advanced road network extraction system, and DEMTools 1.1, an extension to ESRI ArcGIS. TerraSim will also feature its plug-in to BAE Systems' SOCET SET photogrammetric system supporting rapid generation of 3D visualizations, suitable for export to Google Earth and other real time viewers. All of these products are components of TerraSim's focus as the technology leader to support modeling of complex urban environments for the GIS and modeling and simulation community.
TerraSim will also debut TerraTools® 3.5, the latest and most powerful release of its efficient geospatial database construction product line. TerraTools 3.5 rapidly constructs large area visualizations using using commercial GIS, DoD source data, imagery, and CAD models in a Windows environment. TerraTools natively supports multi-threaded database processing and allows up to four-fold parallelism with a dual/multi-core processor on a Windows XP/Vista SP1 workstation using a single TerraTools license. Highlighting these demonstrations is TerraTools Urban Details™ processing technology, and a 3D Points of Interest (POI) visualization automatically constructed using NAVTEQ NAVSTREETS data.
During the ASPRS technical paper sessions, Wilson Harvey, Senior Computer Vision Scientist and Product Manager for RoadMAP, will describe TerraSim's current work on extracting road features from multi-sensed data. The paper, entitled "Automatic Compilation of 3D Road Features using LIDAR and Multi-Spectral Source Data," will be presented at the Image Registration session on Thursday, May 1, at 1:30 PM.
