TerraSim Announces Major Product Releases and More at I/ITSEC 2010

I/ITSEC is the premiere conference for leaders in training and education programs from the armed services, academia, industry, and government and will be held in Orlando, FL from November 29 - December 2, 2010.

TerraTools^® 4.0: The Most Powerful Terrain Generation Software

Packed with new features and updates requested by our customers, TerraTools 4.0 is the most technologically advanced terrain generation software available. TerraSim is pleased to announce that TerraTools 4.0 will be on display at I/ITSEC and will be available to customers in the first quarter of 2011.

TerraTools Core is the only fully multi-threaded commercial terrain product providing users with up to eight fully independent processing threads on a single runtime license.

TerraTools 4.0 introduces 64-bit native mode for the fastest processing of large scale database builds.

Each thread has unlimited access to workstation memory, allowing a single workstation to generate databases that span hundreds of geotiles significantly faster than legacy multi machine based systems.

Generating Both Quality and Quantity

TerraTools-generated simulation databases use the most advanced adaptive terrain surface computation to ensure that databases run smoothly in any supported runtime. Large area databases are developed for terrain efficiency, unlike legacy systems using block-based construction techniques. This efficiency allow complex exercises with thousands of SAF entities across hundreds of geocells to run with minimal hardware resources.

Ground Simulation and Beyond

TerraTools 4.0 includes new features in Batch Mode processing that automate the construction of broad areas. TerraTools Batch processing also supports the assembly of large area geospecific phototextures for the most advanced visual simulation requirements.
